Movie Review - Dan In Real Life

Steve Carell's got to be one of the busiest actors around. He was the lead in the NBC hit comedy "The Office". He had a string of successful comedies at the box office, and he has three films due in 2008. Who would have thought that the second series of "journalist" to "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" will be one of the most popular and successful comedy actors around?

Carell's latest film "Dan in Real Life," is a refreshing change from the raunchy comedies that were released last summer. He plays Dan, a widower, newspaper advice columnist and father of three daughters. He is a little overprotective of their children - the oldest is 17, not to drive her and the middle daughter is 14, which refers to him as "a murderer of love" -. But his girlfriend are my life

Dan and his daughters head up to Maine for his annual family reunion, where we meet Dan parents (played by John Mahoney and Dianne Wiest), and the rest of his family. As you've probably seen the movie trailer, Dan leads a woman in a bookstore that he makes the connection, (Juliette Binoche). A few moments later, we learn that Dan's brother (Dane Cook) new girlfriend. So how do you deal with this day? You'll see the movie to find out.

"Dan in Real Life" is a film that just makes you feel good. The quality of humor is there throughout the film and see how Carell and Dane Cook really act, not just act funny, a real poslastica.Podržava cast is excellent, with Juliette Binoche is shining star of the film. This is probably her most major American film, and it is a pleasure to watch on screen.

In the end, though, "Dan in Real Life" Steve Carell movie. There are moments when it seems as if channeling his character Michael Scott from "office", but for most of the film, we see another side of Carell actor.

When so many films today deal with the grim and gritty subject, or over-the-top comedies, heart-warming comedy like "Dan in Real Life" is definitely worth a visit to China.
